Meeting our teachers is like evolutionary rocket fuel. Something outside the realm of cerebral academic learning is transmitted. We hold spiritual teachers precious and often travel long distances to be in their presence. Similarly a writer might benefit from shaking hands with her favorite author. And those gurus and authors had their own mentors, and on backward into history. This ancient human treasure of lineage is symbolized by the Sixth House, and we astrologers are wise to participate in it consciously.
